THRIVE - From Purpose to Impact
For the last couple of years I’ve been pursuing an opportunity to take part in a leadership immersion programme with The Hunger Project. The Hunger Project is an incredible global not-for-profit organisation, that is on a mission to end world hunger. When I was introduced to them some time ago, I was immediately impressed by their approach to not only support and partner with impoverished communities, but also to enable people to have a unique opportunity to visit these communities and make a tangible difference.
And now I’m going to be one of those people!
I’ve been accepted onto their next programme heading to Zambia in October. The trip is entirely self funded, and on top of that I have to raise $10,000 which goes directly to the community we visit- encouraging people to not only make a meaningful contribution, but to foster accountability and stepping out of your comfort zone (not something I ever shy away from anyway!)
